Staff Accountant
Location: Kent / On-site
Salary Range: $72,800–$85,000 DOE

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing payroll, supporting international operations, and being cross-trained in accounts receivable. This role offers hands-on experience and visibility into a variety of financial operations, including work with a new UK-based business venture.

Overview of the Staff Accountant Role:

• Process multi-state payroll using ADP, including handling a unique hourly employee field rate and commission structures for sales staff.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support the company’s newly launched UK-based operation with accounting duties, reporting, and compliance tasks.
• Cross-train and provide backup for the Accounts Receivable function, which includes a significant volume of non-revenue-based invoicing.
• Assist in month-end close activities and support the accounting team with general ledger tasks as needed.
• Maintain internal controls and contribute to process improvements across accounting functions.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to payroll and accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of U.S. payroll practices; experience with ADP is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with international accounting operations is a plus.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working in ERP/accounting software environments.
