Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant (Grant Accounting Focus):

  • Manage grant budgets, expenditure tracking, and compliance reporting
  • Prepare grant billings, drawdowns, reimbursements, and receivable tracking
  • Support month-end close through journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations related to grants, receivables, and deferred revenue
  • Prepare grant financial reports and support audits and funder reviews

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant (Grant Accounting Focus):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with nonprofit or grant accounting exposure
  • Experience with accounts receivable, month-end close, and reconciliations
  • Working knowledge of grant compliance requirements (federal, state, or private)
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
