Staff Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic agricultural environment? A well-established ag company in Kern County is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team and support financial operations critical to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and monthly accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Support accounts payable/receivable processes as needed

• Help with inventory and cost accounting activities

• Assist with audits, tax preparation, and budget tracking

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2+ years of accounting experience; agriculture industry experience is a plus

• Proficient in Excel and accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
