Staff Accountant
Location: Denver, CO
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Core Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Staff Accountant to join their collaborative and communicative team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial operations and maintaining the smooth running of day-to-day accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve incoming funding files from the daily folder.
- Enter funding information into leasing software, with time requirements ranging from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on data volume.
- Scan invoices and check requests.
- Add fees to contracts and evaluate escrows for refunds as requested, using prebuilt spreadsheets.
- Run amortization schedules.
- Balance gross profit to leasing software, ensuring reconciliation to zero in spreadsheets.
- Support YE reconciliations
Minimum Requirements
- An Accounting degree is preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideal for someone with some experience rather than a complete novice.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, for data entry and manipulation of property tax fees and escrows.
Must-Haves
- Experience balancing gross profit to leasing software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
