Job Description:
Controller
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Controller to lead the financial operations of a well-established dental organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard company assets.
- Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing direction and support for professional development and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit processes.
Preferred Qualifications of the Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Must have experience with NetSuite
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Controller-level role.
- Experience in multi-site healthcare or dental service organizations strongly preferred.
