Senior Accountant Consultant

Details:

• Location: Stamford, CT
• Hours: 8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $45-55/hr

The Corporate Accounting Team handles all accounting matters including monthly closing, financial statements, reporting, and financial consolidations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Record journal entries (cash, prepaids, fixed assets, revenue, expense accruals)
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Consolidate multiple entities for reporting purposes
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and financial statement analytics
• Analyze accounting and business results and make recommendations to management
• Prepare regulatory and statistical accounting reports
• Document, implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports for management information requests

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting with strong academic performance
• CPA licensure is ideal (not required)
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong data analysis skills, general ledger systems experience, and Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
