Patient Services Coordinator
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a non-profit in DC that is focused on providing shelter and necessities to people in need!
- Due to a growth, they are hiring a Patient Services Coordinator to work in-office in Washington, DC.
- Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:30a-4pm.
- Pay: $20-22/hr
- Duration: contract-to-hire - depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business.
Overview of the Patient Services Coordinator role:
- Greet clients and visitors and provide excellent customer service
- Complete the registration process by collecting demographic and health insurance information
- Verify medical insurance eligibility prior to the provider visit
- Answer phones, schedule/reschedule appointments, and monitor and maintain record of no-shows.
- Scan medical documents into Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Schedule specialty referral appointments for clients as needed.
- Monitor and complete medical record requests.
- Ad hoc reporting/projects.
Preferred Qualifications for the Patient Services Coordinator:
- 1+ years experience working in a medical office is required
- 2+ years of customer service experience is a plus
- Experience with eClincialWorks is a plus
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Office Assistant certification is preferred
- CPR/First-Aid Certification is a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
