Location: Bradenton, FL
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

Overview of the Senior Accountant role:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements on a regular basis
- Assist with financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary financial data
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as requested
- Analyze financial data for accuracy and provide variance explanations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Strong general ledger experience
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interaction
