Staff Accountant
Location: Bradenton, FL
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements on a regular basis
• Assist with financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary financial data
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as requested
• Analyze financial data for accuracy and provide variance explanations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or similar
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interaction
