Overview of the Accounts Payable Clerk Role:

The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing high volumes of invoices, managing vendor data, and ensuring timely payments through check runs, ACH transfers, and wire transfers. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for supporting the arts.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Process 100–200 invoices weekly

• Set up and maintain vendor records

• Handle check runs, ACH, and wire payments

• Understand and apply concepts of credits and debits

• Support financial and audit requests as needed

• Collaborate with departments to resolve invoice discrepancies

• Provide general accounting support as a reliable Accounts Payable Clerk

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• 1+ years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role

• Familiarity with Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics

• Basic Excel knowledge (sorting, filtering, simple formulas)

• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative attitude

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
