The Payroll Manager will play a key role in managing payroll operations for both field and office staff, ensuring timely and accurate processing across multiple payroll cycles. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is committed to precision and confidentiality.
Process weekly payroll for approximately 300 hourly field employees
Run semi-monthly payroll for around 225 salaried office employees
Review and verify overtime hours and resolve any discrepancies
Generate and upload payroll-related reports, including job costing and certified payroll
Submit 401(k) contributions following each payroll cycle
Assist with off-cycle bonus payments during November and December
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Solid understanding of payroll laws and compliance requirements
Proven experience with payroll deductions, garnishments, and check processing
Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work independently while also asking questions when needed
Experience with Miter is a plus
Background in construction payroll is helpful, but not required
