Job Description:
Senior Accountant
$75000 - $80 000 plus bonus
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join our clients dynamic team. As a Senior Accountant, you will calculate distributions, accruals, and balance of capital, generate statements, process payments, and communicate with investors. The ideal candidate should have related experience or a degree in accounting. QuickBooks experience and intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Our client and its affiliates have extensive experience acquiring and managing facilities and housing communities through numerous fund-related vehicles.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Manage fund-level accounting activities - real estate taxes and insurance, and debt service
- Maintain escrow accounts for insurance, taxes, and capital improvement accounts
- Produce monthly cash forecast reports and reconciliations for each fund and provide monthly investor capital balance reports
- Monthly inventory reconciliation, term loans, and cost of goods sold tracking
- Process monthly sales and use tax
Requirements of the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
