Job Description:

Job Title: Director of IT Operations

Location: Hybrid in Palm Beach area(Very light travel, maybe 1-4x per year)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Director of IT Operations to lead and manage our IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational systems. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of networking, cybersecurity, system evaluation, and technological optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and the ability to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and security of our IT systems across multiple locations, including newly acquired sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of reliability and performance.
  • Cybersecurity Leadership: Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect against external threats. Evaluate and enhance firewall configurations, monitor for vulnerabilities, and ensure the security of all systems and data.
  • System Evaluation and Optimization: Conduct thorough assessments of existing IT systems to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Implement strategies to optimize performance and reduce costs where possible.
  • Technology Integration: Lead the integration of IT systems at newly acquired locations. Evaluate the existing technological landscape and manage the transition to align with the company’s standards and practices.
  • Cost Management: Analyze IT expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or performance. Provide recommendations on tech investments and cost-efficiency improvements.
  • Hardware and Data Management: Ensure the proper functioning and management of hardware architecture, including SharePoint storage and Rackspace data management solutions. Experience with these platforms is highly desirable.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure IT strategies align with business objectives. Provide technical expertise and guidance to non-technical stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, system administration, or a similar role, with a strong background in networking and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience in leading IT operations across multiple locations, including system integration and evaluation.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including firewall management, threat detection, and risk assessment.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware architecture, SharePoint storage, and Rackspace data management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 2 times per year to assess and integrate new locations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to stay updated on the latest technological trends and best practices in IT operations and cybersecurity.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
