Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Sarasota, FL (On-site)
Compensation: $55,000–$65,000

Our client is a property & casualty insurance company headquartered in Sarasota, FL. They're seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end close, reporting, and reconciliation work. Overview of the Junior Accountant Role:

• Assist with general ledger postings and account reconciliations

• Help prepare journal entries and support month-end close processes

• Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with internal controls

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable as needed

• Prepare supporting schedules and help with internal/external audits

• Collaborate with other departments for accurate data gathering and financial inputs

Junior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or insurance background a plus)

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
