Accounts Payable Associate – Financial Services

Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Job Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Schedule
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

Position Overview

We’re looking for an organized and proactive Accounts Payable Associate to join the finance team of a respected corporate services firm. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices for timely payment

• Verify invoice accuracy, terms, and proper approvals before processing

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies

• Maintain vendor records and support onboarding of new suppliers

• Assist in weekly check runs and payment batches (ACH, wires, checks)

• Support internal teams with invoice or payment-related inquiries

• Participate in month-end closing activities related to AP

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required, Bachelor's degree preferred

• Prior internship or work experience in the accounting industry highly preferred

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Familiarity with accounting software and Excel

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
