Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing financial operations, including:

• Assisting with the month-end close process, including journal entries, inventory, WIP reconciliations, and roll forwards.
• Supporting the monthly cash flow forecast for all capital projects.
• Collaborating with project managers and property accounting staff to ensure precise financial reporting.
• Managing fixed asset creation and transferring assets to inventory.
• Providing variance explanations for P&L reporting.
• Leveraging advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and drive insights.

Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Staff Accountant Role

To thrive as a Senior Staff Accountant, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Construction industry experience (preferred).
