Job Title: Manufacturing Plant Controller

Overview:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Plant Controller to join their leadership team. This individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the plant, providing financial insight, and driving performance through strategic financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing accounting and a proven ability to manage all aspects of financial reporting and control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the plant’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Manage full P&L responsibilities, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

• Oversee all aspects of inventory accounting, including reconciliation, valuation, and management of standard costs.

• Monitor and coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Develop and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support decision-making at both the plant and corporate levels.

• Partner with operational leadership to drive cost savings initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing activities in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.

• Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and audit requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

• CPA (preferred).

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost variance analysis.

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
