100% Remote Accounting Manager
Growing distribution company is seeking an Accounting Manager. This position is open to due growth and will report directly to the VP of Finance, who we placed. Opportunity to work with a great leader and fast-track career progression to Controller.

Job Responsibilities of Accounting Manager:

As an Accounting Manager, you will be overseeing all aspects of accounting. This role will manage the day to day accounting activities and be responsible for all month/year-end close processes, accounts payable & receivables, billing, cash receipts, general ledger, treasury, and various ad-hoc analysis.

Specific duties of the Accounting Manager role include:

• Achieving accounting operational objectives preparing and completing action plans, resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements and implementing changes
• Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close along with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
• Supervise and direct AP, AR and general accounting functions
• Cash management
• Maintaining financial security by establishing internal controls
• Coordinating and working as a liaison with external auditors
• Working with direct reports to establish performance goals and objectives for each year as well as monitoring and advising on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
• Process improvement projects

Experience Preferred for the Accounting Manager:

• BS in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Supervisory/ leadership experience
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• Distribution industry experience preferred
• CPA or CPA tracking preferred
• Advanced Excel
