Tax Accounting Senior
Salary: $85,000 – $120,000

Key Responsibilities for the Tax Accounting Senior:
• Manage inflow of tax compliance documents and maintain detailed checklists for over 40 entities
• Review and analyze tax documents for completeness and compliance requirements
• Prepare and file extensions, estimated payments, and selected tax returns for individuals, entities, and nonprofit organizations
• Prepare and update income tax provisions for corporate and nonprofit entities
• Perform year-end close workpapers, book-to-tax reconciliations, and journal entries
• Handle foreign financial reporting, including FINCEN disclosures and related tax filings
• Coordinate and communicate with external tax advisors, providing documentation and follow-up support
• Review externally prepared tax returns for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct research across federal, state, estate/gift, and employment tax areas
• Assist with tax analysis related to new investments and calculate after-tax investment performance
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows
• Support federal and state tax audits, providing documentation and follow-up
• Serve as backup for money movement processes when needed
Qualifications for the Tax Accounting Senior:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred
• CPA required
• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or tax compliance; family office experience preferred
• Strong understanding of tax and accounting principles across corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Familiarity with various asset classes and investment strategies preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/tax software and document management systems
