Controller | $140,000–$160,000 + Bonus | Hybrid (In-Office Mon/Wed)

We’re currently partnering with a long-established, family-owned organization in the insurance space that is seeking a Controller to join their growing team.

The Controller will report directly to the CFO and work alongside a team of experienced professionals. With 3–4 direct reports, the Controller will play a critical role in managing core accounting operations, financial close processes, and reporting functions.

Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of AP, AR, and cash activity review

• Supervise bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and monthly close

• Direct a team of Accounting Specialists and an Assistant Controller

• Ensure tax compliance, support budget planning, and handle investment analysis

• Collaborate across departments to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and compliance

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate and/or public accounting

• 5+ years of leadership and team management

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-player attitude

• Insurance experience is a plus, but not required

Location: Office-based in the Elk Grove Village area — Hybrid schedule (in-office Mondays and Wednesdays)
