Senior Financial Systems Analyst – Data-Focused Role

An established and rapidly growing company in the food distribution sector is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join a collaborative, people-first team dedicated to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability. This role sits at the intersection of finance and data, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals who love uncovering insights, streamlining processes, and ensuring data reliability across complex systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze financial and operational data trends to identify gaps and inconsistencies

• Support and manage data integrations between enterprise financial platforms and related subsystems

• Own and maintain key billing databases, ensuring accuracy and availability of financial data

• Collaborate with finance leaders to provide strategic insights through dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reporting

• Coordinate and lead system testing, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure continuity and efficiency

• Recommend and document improvements to processes, workflows, and policies

• Stay ahead of the curve by maintaining technical fluency through training and research

Tools & Skills You Bring:

• Strong expertise in Excel and related analytical tools

• Solid working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and scripting (VBA or similar)

• Experience with cloud-based financial systems (e.g., Workday) and BI tools like Power BI

• Ability to interpret and communicate financial data, including balance sheets and income statements

• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven with excellent communication skills

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience supporting or developing systems within finance or accounting environments
