Cybersecurity Specialist

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in network and systems administration, coupled with a passion for cybersecurity. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the security of our systems, networks, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network and system security architectures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data and services.
• Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify and mitigate potential security risks and threats.
• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other network security solutions.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and address security gaps.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, including network breaches and system compromises, while documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Configure, deploy, and manage endpoint security tools such as anti-malware, encryption, and threat detection systems.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, best practices, and relevant regulations, and contribute to the development of security policies.
• Provide guidance and support to international teams on network security best practices and incident response procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and technologies to continuously improve security measures.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in network and systems administration, with a strong focus on security.
• Proven experience with network security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and web proxies.
• Familiarity with cloud security, particularly in Azure.
• Hands-on experience with operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and techniques, including vulnerability management, patching, and intrusion detection.
• Experience with endpoint security solutions, threat analysis, and incident response.
• CISSP is big plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
