Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

As our business expands, we are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team and help ensure smooth financial operations.

Position Summary:
The AR Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's incoming payments, accurately maintaining customer accounts, and assisting in the overall accounting process. This is a key role supporting our accounting department and contributing to the financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices based on project billing schedules and contracts

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on outstanding payments

• Apply cash receipts, credit memos, and adjustments

• Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies

• Work closely with project managers and internal teams to ensure billing accuracy

• Assist in month-end closing procedures and reporting

• Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions and transactions

• Support lien waiver preparation and release of lien processes when needed

• Assist with collections efforts in a professional and customer-focused manner

• Perform other related accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or general accounting experience (construction industry experience is a plus)

• Strong understanding of billing processes, including progress billing and retainage

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
