Construction Accountant

A premier developer and builder based in Indianapolis is seeking a Construction Accountant to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of accounting experience, a degree in accounting or finance, and preferably experience in the construction industry. Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and provide variance analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoices and collections.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payments.
- Coordinate annual audits, providing necessary documentation.
- Analyze costs and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
- Utilize Sage Intacct for financial data management and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA or similar certification is a plus.
