What You’ll Be Doing:

• Take charge as the Interim Controller, overseeing daily accounting functions: AP, AR, GL, payroll, and more.

• Lead the month-end close with precision and speed—this is your show.

• Deliver clear, powerful financial reporting and analysis to fuel smart decision-making.

• Be the Interim Controller who builds financial confidence and structure in a dynamic environment.

• Partner closely with operations to align financials with shop-level performance and KPIs.

• Oversee audits, cash flow forecasting, budget prep, and internal controls as the trusted Interim Controller.

• Identify process improvements and system upgrades—your insights matter.

• Be the accounting point person for leadership during this key transitional period.

• Potential to grow into a long-term opportunity or hand the wheel off smoothly to a future full-time hire.
  
  
• Some travel will be required once a month to other locations in Illinois.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or similar; CPA a major plus.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience—bonus points if you’ve worked in automotive, collision repair, or similar.

• Solid experience as a Controller or Interim Controller; you’re confident and capable under pressure.

• Excellent knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, budgeting, and audit practices.

• Proficient in accounting tools (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communicator who can translate numbers into action.

• You’re adaptable, proactive, and love getting into the details while seeing the big picture.
