Assistant Controller
Location: Baltimore, MD
Job Description:
Our client, a respected company in the manufacturing/distribution space, is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their team in Baltimore. This role will support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
This position is onsite/in office 5 days/week, but they do provide flexibility when needed!

Assistant Controller Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Support monthly WIP analysis and performance metrics
- Oversee AP invoice entry and vendor payments
- Aid in audit preparation and regulatory compliance
- Help evaluate internal controls and accounting process improvements
- Provide financial analysis for leadership decision-making
- Assist with accounting staff training and development
Assistant Controller Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing/distribution environment a plus
- Supervisory experience
- Familiarity with F.A.R. and Cost Accounting Standards is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial systems
