Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting – Hybrid | Baltimore, MD

Our client, a very well-known publicly traded company based in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join their growing team! This HYBRID position offers a fantastic work-life balance with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote—and plenty of flexibility too!

As a Senior Accountant you'll play a critical role in the preparation and review of SEC filings, financial statements, and internal reporting. Senior Accountant Key Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review external financial reports (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) in Workiva in compliance with SEC regulations
• Prepare and maintain financial statement supporting workpapers
• Support quarterly and annual audits
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather data and ensure accurate reporting and disclosures
• Continuously improve reporting processes and internal controls
• Implement process improvements to streamline financial statement preparation by
  leveraging automated tools
• Assist other duties in the group as needed

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Public accounting experience with a Big 4 firm highly preferred
• Experience auditing and/or working with publicly traded companies preferred
• Strong general ledger accounting skills
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge
• Working knowledge of Workiva or NetSuite are desirable
