Job Description:

Senior Administrative Assistant - Pikesville, MD

About the Company and the Senior Administrative Assistant Opportunity:

  • Our repeat client is a well known non profit in the Pikesville community and has been around for nearly 200 years. Due to recent department changes, they are currently hiring a Senior Administrative Assistant on a contract to hire basis.
  • Position is 100% in office in Pikesville, MD. Free parking offered!
  • Schedule: 8:30am-5pm M-Th and 8:30am-4pm on Friday. 40 hours per week, M-F. Potential for overtime!
  • Reports to the Operations Manager (who was placed by CFS!)

Job Responsibilities for the Executive Administrative Assistant:

  • Provide administrative support for Senior Rabbi, Assistant Rabbi, and Cantor(s)
  • Be a liaison between the clergy and staff
  • Help maintain calendar and set up meetings when needed. Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Coordinate tutoring schedules
  • Maintain file for members who are homebound or in hospitals. Assist maintaining member files on CRM
  • Maintain checkbook; deposit and write checks
  • Coordinate offerings to include, tracking transactions and writing thank you notes
  • Type all life-cycle event letters (births, engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, deaths, etc.)
  • Prepare seating for in the congregation for special holidays
  • Correspond with weekly honorees
  • Additional assignments as needed

Qualifications for the Senior Administrative Assistant role:

  • 2+ years of successful experience with providing administrative support for a similar size organization.
    • Not-for-profit organization experience preferred but not required
  • Advanced technology skills including PC skills with high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, database, and database systems. Able to learn new software programs easily
  • Maintains the highest level of integrity in managing financial and personal information
  • Successful at working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment, handling multiple tasks concurrently and efficiently
  • Proactive in seeking opportunities to make operations run more efficiently and effectively, and openness to implementing changes
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
