Job Description:
Are you ready to bring your financial skills to a blue-collar environment where you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty? Our client is looking for a Director of Accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting our construction projects from the ground up.
This is more than just numbers - you’ll be working closely with project teams, tracking costs, and helping keep projects on budget while understanding the realities of construction work.
Salary: $125,000-$145,000

Director of Accounting Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/etc.
- Experience in construction accounting or related roles, preferably with exposure to field operations.
- Comfortable working in a blue-collar, hands-on environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Reliable communicator who can bridge finance and field operations.
Director of Accounting Responsibilities:
- Track and manage project costs and budgets on-site and in the office.
- Support daily job costing and expense tracking alongside field teams.
- Assist with financial reporting and month-end close processes.
- Collaborate directly with project managers, foremen, and accounting staff.
- Be hands-on when needed to help solve issues and keep projects moving forward.
