A growing manufacturing company based in Frederick, MD is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This newly created position plays a critical role in supporting the company’s expansion—including the construction of a new production facility, upcoming ERP implementation, and enhanced financial operations.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing accounting, ERP systems, and team leadership. This is a highly visible role offering career growth and cross-functional exposure at a pivotal time in the company’s evolution.

Currently undergoing major growth and facility expansion (new 172,000 sq ft plant breaking ground)
Strategic joint venture with a global partner brings increased operational and financial support
Revenue of $100M with aggressive targets to double in the next 3–5 years

Key role in supporting rapid operational and financial growth
New facility buildout and ERP upgrade provide exciting project exposure
Regular interaction with leadership, including CFO and CEO
Opportunity to shape financial processes and mentor junior staff
Proven track record of internal career advancement
Oversee the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close
Mentor and train accounting staff (AR, AP, general accounting)
Manage inventory valuation, raw material and packaging consumption reconciliation
Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure ASC 842 lease compliance
Lead reviews of maintenance expenses and capital expenditures with operations
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit, including prep and documentation
Administer and maintain ERP system; work with external vendor to ensure data integrity
Support ERP training for team and drive process improvement
Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ in a manufacturing environment
Strong experience with cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assets
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics NAV, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Power BI reporting skills a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to lead and collaborate across departments
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, hands-on environment
