Client is hiring a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of close processes, reporting, investor distributions, and financial strategy across multiple entities.

This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership, oversight of a staff accountant, and the opportunity to influence both operational and financial outcomes in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Role Highlights

• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

• Prepare accurate financial statements and journal entries (FF&E, reserves, payroll, etc.)

• Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure alignment with loan/operating agreements

• Forecast and manage cash to support quarterly investor distributions

• Support capital planning, construction accounting, and budgeting processes

• Partner with Operations and Executive teams to provide strategic financial insights

• Contribute to investor communications and financial analysis projects

• Mentor junior staff and support training

• Promote professional development and best practices within the accounting team

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required); CPA or Master’s (strongly preferred)

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience

  • Background in public accounting or a public/private mix Experience in hospitality or real estate

• Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with accounting software

  • Proficiency with Excel and standard accounting tools

• Soft Skills:

  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach

  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail

  • Comfortable engaging with senior executives

  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to contribute process improvements
