Job Title: Executive Director – Gaming Regulation
Location: Southwest Michigan (Fully Onsite)
Salary Range: $190,000 – $220,000 annually
We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Director to lead and oversee all aspects of gaming regulation. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Class III gaming regulation, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage compliance, enforcement, and operational oversight at the highest level. This role requires strategic vision, regulatory acumen, and the ability to direct a large professional team to ensure the integrity and accountability of gaming operations.
Lead, manage, and direct a professional staff of 25+ employees.
Oversee all aspects of Class III gaming regulation, ensuring strict compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Provide senior-level leadership in regulatory compliance, enforcement, and investigative processes.
Direct licensing, auditing, and regulatory review functions within the agency.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure policies and procedures meet federal, state, and organizational requirements.
Maintain eligibility and compliance under the Gaming Regulatory Act and obtain/maintain required licenses.
Serve as a trusted leader in maintaining the integrity and fairness of gaming operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
At least 5 years in a senior management position within gaming regulation, with significant focus on Class III gaming regulation.
10 years of experience in law enforcement, regulatory compliance, or enforcement.
Investigative and regulatory experience in licensing and/or audit functions of a gaming regulatory agency strongly preferred.
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and casino industry applications software.
Must meet all eligibility requirements under the Gaming Regulatory Act and maintain a Level 1 License.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
