Accounting Manager
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Job Description:
CFS has partnered with a growing company that's looking to hire an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be a key role within the Accounting & Finance team. This is a great opportunity with a local Grand Rapids company that will allow you to grow in your career while learning new skills along the way.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
Salary: $110,000-$125,000
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Monthly financial reporting
- Journal entries, reconciliations and month end
- Financial package & consolidation.
- Review and ensure GAAP and internal policies are followed.
- Lead year end audit and tax preparation.
- Organize completions of reconciliations, written processes, audit reports.
- Engage with the auditors
- Provide final statements.
- Supervise Accounts Payable & Financial Analysis.
- Budget and Forecast Support.
- Support Financial reporting software
- Maintains financial reporting information in ERP, with a high level of knowledge and understanding of the ERP processes.
- Monitor AP & AR activities and ensure compliance to corporate standards.
- Participate in cross functional teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Accounting Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years public accounting and/or industry experience.
- Good understanding of financial (ERP) systems, IT infrastructure with strong understanding of financial accounting fundamentals. Knowledge of QAD is a plus.
- Excellent PC/computer skills
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Demonstrated high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
- Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills
- Strong self-starting initiative and innovative attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement with the Finance and Operations teams
Salary: $110,000-$125,000
