About the Entry-Level Accounting Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting candidate to join their construction accounting team. This role is primarily focused on managing billing processes for construction projects and collaborating closely with project managers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. It's an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to develop expertise in construction billing and project support.

Key Responsibilities for Entry-Level Accounting position

• Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices based on contract terms and project milestones

• Work directly with project managers to gather billing information, verify billable costs, and resolve discrepancies

• Track and maintain billing schedules and project documentation to ensure timely invoicing

• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and assist with collections

• Support project financial reporting and job cost analysis

• Assist with reconciliations of project-related transactions and general ledger accounts

• Help maintain compliance with internal controls and company billing procedures

• Provide general accounting support as needed

Qualifications for Entry-Level Accounting position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 0–5 years of accounting or billing experience (construction or project-based billing experience a plus)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
