Controller Job Summary
Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to oversee all aspects of finance, accounting within a manufacturing environment. This Controller role is responsible for managing accounting operations, budgeting, payroll, cash flow, internal controls, and audits. The ideal candidate will bring deep financial expertise and leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities for Controller role:

• Lead and manage the Accounting and Payroll departments

• Oversee preparation and analysis of annual budgets and monthly/annual financial statements

• Develop and maintain systems for general and cost accounting

• Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes

• Manage all external audit and tax preparation activities

• Oversee cash management including forecasting, disbursements, investments, and loan administration

• Support IT systems and software needs related to financial operations

• Collaborate with HR to administer employee benefit plans (health, dental, life, disability)

Qualifications for Controller:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 10 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cash flow management, tax, payroll, benefits administration, and internal controls

• Proven experience with budgeting, audits, and employee benefit plans
