Title:Senior Inventory Accountant
Salary:$75–100K base

About the Role
Join a rapidly growing distribution company on track to hit $1B revenue within the next three years. As Senior Inventory Accountant, you’ll be the key link between Finance and Operations—owning inventory accuracy, driving cost insights, and ensuring controls are in place to support scale. This is a high-visibility position where you’ll work directly with leadership and make a measurable impact.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all aspects of inventory accounting, including reconciliations, reserves, and adjustments

• Develop and maintain processes to ensure accurate reporting of inventory and COGS

• Partner with operations teams to analyze variances, identify drivers, and resolve discrepancies

• Provide management with timely analysis of inventory trends, margins, and cost efficiency opportunities

• Support the monthly/quarterly close with a focus on inventory and related accounts

• Assist with audits, tax compliance, and special projects tied to inventory and supply chain

• Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and optimize reporting

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with deep expertise in inventory and cost accounting

• Strong knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills

• Background in food distribution, food service, or CPG highly preferred

• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to partner cross-functionally
