Join a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to community-centered care and empowerment. This organization delivers a wide range of health, housing, and social service programs throughout New York City. With a commitment to accountability and meaningful impact, they are looking for a Grant Accountant to provide accurate, timely financial data to support critical programs. The Grant Accountant will play a key role in managing grant-related financial activity across multiple city, state, and federal funding sources. Working closely with finance leadership and program teams, the Grant Accountant will ensure compliance, support monthly closes, and clearly communicate grant financials.

Grant Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Manage grant accounting functions including billing, revenue tracking, and financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly invoices in compliance with city and agency deadlines.

• Maintain accurate records of grant activity including budgets, expenditures, and receivables.

• Assist with monthly close process by reconciling grant-related accounts and ensuring timely submission of vouchers.

• Provide audit-ready documentation and support the year-end audit process.

• Assist with budget development for grant proposals and financial projections.

Grant Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.

• 2+ years accounting and grant experience.

• Solid understanding of fund accounting.

• High proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Fund EZ experience preferred).

• Ability to communicate financial information to executives and to non-financial program staff.

• Team player with a proactive mindset and ability to work across departments.
