Staff Accountant
About the Real Estate Company and Opportunity - Staff Accountant:
- CFS of New York is working with a full service real estate investment company seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team

Role Responsibilities - Staff Accountant:
- Provide support to the Senior Accountant assigned to the portfolio real estate assets
- Prepare monthly workpapers for balance sheet accounts and budget comparison income statements
- Maintain the general ledger, reconcile bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts
- Gather necessary information and documentation to perform annual audit
- Prepare financial statements for annual filings with various municipalities
Preferred Qualifications - Staff Accountant:
- 1-3 years of professional experience
- BA degree required (Accounting, Finance or Business is a plus)
- Intermediate excel skills
- Real estate experience
- Real estate software experience is a plus (MRI, Yardi, etc)
