Finance and Accounting Manager

$130-150,000 plus bonus

Fully on-site in Brooklyn

A unique historic and cultural organization in Brooklyn is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This role reports to the CFO and plays a key part in financial strategy, reporting, and operational oversight.

The Finance and Accounting Manager will help guide the financial future of a respected nonprofit with long-term impact in the community.

Finance and Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting, modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Present financial data and insights to senior leadership and board members
• Manage audit preparation and regulatory compliance (GAAP, fund restrictions)
• Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and multi-fund tracking (e.g., endowments, capital projects, investment funds)
• Serve as primary liaison with external financial partners (banks, auditors, investment consultants)

Finance and Accounting Manager Requirements:

• 4+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
• Skilled in executive-level communication and board presentations
• Experienced in audit prep, month end, financial modeling and reporting
