VP of Finance

About the Company & Opportunity- VP of Finance:

• CFS of New York is working with a prominent non-profit organization seeking a VP of Finance to join their growing team
• The organization has been around for close to 20 years, a little over $7M in funding and offer after school/summer programs for children who come from a challenging home environment
• The organization also helps children who suffer from mental/emotional abuse
• They received funding from various revenue streams including : government grants, private donations, foundations, endowments, etc
• Our client is open to a candidate who is looking to step into a more strategic role

Role Responsibilities- VP of Finance:

• Overseeing accounting department, ensuring all timelines are met and providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensure timely and complete reconciliations, provide suggestions for improvement in this area
• Manage audit process
• Manage grants and funding sources, prepare financial reports as needed
• Assistant in strategic financial planning
• Account for and allocate funding from multiple sources

Preferred Experience- VP of Finance

• 5+ years of experience working in the nonprofit industry
• Bachelors degree
• Managerial experience is a plus
