Junior Bookkeeper
About the Organization: Junior Bookkeeper
- CFS New York is working with a stable non-profit agency looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join their growing team
- This non-profit agency has been around for over 50 years and strives to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness and traumatic brain injury.
- This role will be reporting directly to the Billing Manager
- The team here prides themselves on fundraising events, teamwork, and collaboration
- This role will be fully on-site in Bethpage, Long Island
Job Functions of The Junior Bookkeeper:
- Ensure that all billing is prepared and submitted in a timely basis
- Recorded accurately to the general ledger.
- Keeps the billing manager aware of any billing delays in billing processed through HER
- software
- Processes other customer billing through sales order invoices in the agency ERP software.
- Works with the Billing Manager and operations teams to identify, correct, and rebill denied
- claims.
- Reviews the customer aging reports for delinquent accounts. Keeps supervisor informed of all
- actual or potential payment issues.
- Maintains the confidentiality of the Accounting department.
Minimum Requirements of The Junior Bookkeeper:
• High School Diploma
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others informed
and anticipating needs is essential
• Must be efficient, well organized, and have excellent communication skills
