Accounting Manager

Salary: $85,000 to $100,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including AP/AR and staff accountants

• Coordinate daily operations and ensure timely month-end and year-end closes

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages

• Manage general ledger, accruals, and account reconciliations

• Oversee and review manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis

• Collaborate with operations on production costing and budget tracking

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA a plus)

• Experience: 5+ years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

• Industry Background: Manufacturing accounting experience required

• Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar); advanced Excel skills

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and internal controls

Location & Compensation:

• Location: On-site - Akron, Ohio (Monday through Friday)

• Salary: $85,000 to $100,000 depending on experience
