Job Title: Financial Analyst – Retail Operations
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000
Job Type: Full-Time, onsite

Role Overview

A growing consumer goods company is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst with a strong background in retail operations. This role is critical in supporting inventory and sales analysis, forecasting, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets, collaborating across departments, and driving insights that support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze weekly inventory and sales data, comparing actuals to budget and projections
• Track product movement and provide insights to support inventory optimization
• Assist with initiatives to improve product costing and profitability
• Lead and support cross-functional projects involving multiple internal stakeholders
• Use Excel extensively to build financial models, forecasts, and reports

Preferred Qualifications of the Financial Analyst:

• Intermediate Excel skills required; advanced Excel proficiency strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proven experience in a retail environment, particularly in inventory or financial analysis
• Ability to synthesize data and present actionable insights
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with retail systems and tools such as Sage Intacct or Shopify
• Background in merchandise planning, inventory management, or retail finance
