Accountant

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities of the Accountant

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate general ledger reporting

• Reconcile bank accounts and key balance sheet accounts monthly

• Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including accruals and financial statement preparation

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

• Analyze variances and assist in budget tracking for department managers

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry regulations

• Collaborate with finance and operational teams on ad hoc projects and reporting requests

What We're Looking For in an Accountant

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems)

• Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP; familiarity with healthcare compliance a plus

• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines

Location & Compensation

• Work Setting: On-site in Canton, Ohio | Monday–Friday

• Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 based on experience
