Accounting Manager

This leading healthcare organization in Cleveland is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee their financial operations. Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis and insights
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting staff, ensuring professional development and compliance with organizational standards
• Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulations and accounting standards
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems and processes
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to healthcare regulations
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other general accounting functions
• Provide financial insights to senior management to support decision-making

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare industry financial reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas
• CPA or healthcare-related certifications are a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with healthcare financial systems or software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is preferred

Salary and Benefits:

• In-office in Cleveland, Ohio
• Pay range: $90,000 to $110,000
