Job Title: Payroll Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in processing high-volume payroll, managing payroll tax compliance, and working with payroll software systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist:

• Process end-to-end payroll for 1500+ employees (bi-weekly/semi-monthly/etc.).

• Ensure accuracy of payroll transactions including wages, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

• Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts monthly.

• Stay current on tax laws, wage regulations, and payroll best practices.

Qualifications for Payroll Specialist:

• 10+ years of experience in high-volume payroll processing.

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and reporting requirements.

• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, Ceridian, etc.).

• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll reporting tools.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
