Accounting Manager
Hybrid | Lancaster, OH
Salary: $90,000 – $105,000

A well-established regional nonprofit organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team, filling a key leadership role due to an internal promotion. This full-time position is hybrid (on-site in Lancaster, OH, with flexibility) following a brief probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and lead a team of 4 accounting professionals

• Manage and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports

• Ensure accuracy of general ledger, reconciliations, and intercompany financials

• Support internal and external audits; maintain and enforce internal controls

• Contribute to forecasting, financial planning, and process improvement initiatives

• Mentor and train team members to support department goals and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience preparing financial statements and managing general ledger functions

• Familiarity with audit procedures and financial compliance

• Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred

• CPA (active, inactive, or in progress) is a plus

• Industry experience in nonprofit, utilities, or manufacturing is a plus
