OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE ROLE:

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and corporations.
• Perform tax research and provide clients with strategies for tax optimization.
• Assist in tax planning for clients, including advising on financial impacts and compliance requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Respond to IRS and state agency inquiries on behalf of clients.
• Mentor and guide junior associates, providing training and support as needed.
• Work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and provide customized solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license or eligibility strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and review within a public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and client-focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
