Staff Accountant

$60,000- $70,000

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Manage the accounting and financial reporting for multiple grants and funding sources.

• Track and reconcile grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for grants.

• Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting for grant-funded programs.

• Support annual audits and assist with preparation of grant-related schedules and documentation.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards and funder requirements.

• Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and guidance on grant spending.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.

• Strong knowledge of grant accounting, fund accounting, or restricted funds.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
