STAFF ACCOUNTANT

About the Opportunity:
Our client, a respected and steadily growing company in the Pittsburgh area, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

• Create journal entries and generate standard financial reports.

• Support internal and external audit requests with accurate documentation.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company-specific accounting practices.

• Take on special projects and cross-functional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 1–4 years of relevant accounting experience (public or private sector).

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting ERP systems preferred (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

• Team player who also thrives when working independently.
